Jones Family Farm dinner at Chalk Studios in Seattle

On June 4th Jones Family Farms Brought Lopez Island’s bounty from their farm and the surrounding waters to Seattle for a fun dining experience. Our first Seattle farm dinner was led by Chef Dante Miller of Rose’s Cafe & Bakery on Orcas Island showcased JFF’s fresh, in-season, naturally raised meats, Lopez grown shellfish and locally harvested, wild seafoods in a five course farm dinner in Seattle at Chalk Studios. The menu was:


Sweetwater Oysters in the half shell.
Pan seared Surf Smelt with shaved fennel and lemon anchovy vinaigrette.
Potato soup with spring alliums. (spring is just starting here)
Pappardelle pasta with clams, mussels, white wine and tomato.
Pork loin seared with Morels and greens.
Rhubarb jam tart with Chevre ice cream


Fantastic wine pairings thanks to Jameson Fink at Esquin Wine Merchants, who was also able to join us for dinner.
